Prebid Adapter & Module Development
DJAX builds Prebid.js and Prebid Server adapters and modules for SSPs, DSPs, ad networks and data companies, written to the project's rules from the first line, then takes them through submission and listing and keeps them working as Prebid releases move on.
Prebid is how your demand or data reaches publishers.
Publishers add new demand partners through Prebid.js on the web and Prebid Server in apps and CTV. If your platform has no adapter, or an adapter that falls behind new Prebid versions, publishers cannot easily add you.
Our engineers have hands-on experience building, submitting and maintaining Prebid adapters, and they know the module rules reviewers apply. You get an adapter that is ready for review, plus someone to keep it current.
Every Prebid module type, built to the project rules.
Pick the module your business needs. Each one can be delivered on its own or together with submission and ongoing maintenance.
Prebid.js Bidder Adapter
A bidder adapter lets publishers send your platform bid requests from Prebid.js. DJAX builds it from your endpoint specification, with tests, documentation and a test ad unit, ready for submission.
What we deliver
- Adapter written in TypeScript or JavaScript to current Prebid.js conventions
- Banner, video and native media types as your endpoint supports them
- OpenRTB or custom request building and response parsing
- TCF, GPP, US privacy and COPPA signals passed through
- Supply chain, first-party data and price floors support where you need them
- User syncs registered the standard way
- Unit tests to the project coverage bar
- Bidder documentation and a test ad unit that always bids
For your tech team
The adapter is built to the module rules from the start, so review focuses on your bidding logic, not on rework.
For the business
Publishers can add your demand in their existing Prebid setup, which shortens every new publisher integration.
Prebid Server Adapter (Go and Java)
Apps and many CTV setups reach demand through Prebid Server. DJAX builds your Prebid Server adapter in Go first, then the Java port, with the configuration files and JSON tests the project expects.
What we deliver
- Go adapter with bidder info, parameter schema and request mapping
- Java port for publishers that run Prebid Server Java
- JSON test cases for each media type you support
- Consent and privacy fields mapped into the OpenRTB request
- Bidder documentation updated for server-side support
- Parity with your Prebid.js adapter
For your tech team
One specification drives both the client-side and server-side adapters, so they behave the same way.
For the business
Reach app, CTV and server-side web publishers, not only those running Prebid.js in the browser.
User ID Module
Identity providers reach Prebid publishers through a User ID module that resolves and shares an ID in the bid request. DJAX builds the module and its documentation.
What we deliver
- ID retrieval and storage to Prebid conventions
- Extended IDs (eids) output for bidders
- Consent-aware behaviour, including GVL ID registration in the module
- Unit tests and documentation
For your tech team
The module follows the User ID framework, so publishers configure it like every other identity provider.
For the business
Make your ID available in publishers' Prebid setups and in every bid request they send.
Real-Time Data (RTD) Module
Contextual, audience and brand-safety providers add data to Prebid auctions through RTD modules. DJAX builds the module so your data reaches bidders at auction time without bidding itself.
What we deliver
- Data added to ad units or first-party data before the auction
- Timeouts and fallbacks so pages are never held up
- Publisher configuration and disclosure where required
- Unit tests and documentation
For your tech team
The module stays within the RTD rules: it enriches auctions and never bids.
For the business
Turn your data into something publishers can switch on in Prebid in minutes.
Analytics Adapter
Analytics adapters send Prebid auction events to your reporting platform. DJAX builds the adapter, with consent handling and documentation.
What we deliver
- Auction, bid, win and timeout events collected
- Batching and sampling to keep page impact low
- GVL ID registration so it runs under TCF
- Unit tests and documentation
For your tech team
Events are collected through the Prebid analytics API, so the adapter keeps working as publishers upgrade.
For the business
Give publishers auction-level reporting in your platform with a one-line Prebid configuration.
Adapter Maintenance and Prebid Upgrades
Prebid releases every week and removes outdated code in major versions. DJAX keeps your adapters current, answers maintainer questions with you and fixes issues publishers raise.
What we deliver
- Updates for new Prebid.js and Prebid Server versions
- Changes for new consent and privacy requirements
- New media types or features added to existing adapters
- Help with publisher and reviewer questions to the maintainer contact
For your tech team
Your adapter keeps passing tests on new releases, so it is not dropped or disabled.
For the business
Stay listed and easy to add for publishers, without keeping Prebid specialists on staff.
From specification to listing, and after.
Every engagement starts with a short review, then a clear scope and quote before work begins.
Built from your specification
You share your endpoint and feature set. We build the module to the current Prebid rules, with tests and documentation.
Submitted and listed
We take it through submission and review with you, the same way as our submission and listing service.
Kept current
Optional maintenance keeps it working as Prebid releases move on, so publishers can keep adding you.
Common questions
Do you build both Prebid.js and Prebid Server adapters?
Yes. We build Prebid.js adapters and Prebid Server adapters in Go and Java, and keep them in parity.
Who owns the adapter code?
You do. The adapter is contributed under your company name, from your repository, with your company as maintainer.
Can you take over an adapter someone else built?
Yes. We review it against the current rules, fix what is needed and can maintain it from there.
Can the adapter be listed on Prebid.org?
That is the goal of every build. We prepare it for submission and handle the review with you. Prebid.org reviews every contribution independently and decides on acceptance.
How is the work priced?
We agree a fixed scope and quote once we understand your endpoint and the modules you need.
